1. What systems does Overflow integrate with?

Overflow currently integrates with:

  • Planning Center Online (PCO)

  • Rock RMS

  • Pushpay ChMS (formerly CCB)

  • Virtuous

  • Salesforce

  • Other CRMs via Zapier or API-based workflows

2. What data syncs between Overflow and our ChMS/CRM?

Depending on the platform, Overflow syncs:

  1. Contribution data (amount, gift type, fund, date)

    • By default, this also includes Manual Cash gifts. These donations will sync to your CRM once the Gift Entry batch is closed, unless noted otherwise. (This setting is optional if you’re using the PCO integration.)
  2. Donor details (name, email, phone, address)

  3. Recurring gift info

  4. Giving method (stock, crypto, card, ACH)

  5. Transaction IDs and external references (for reconciliation)

3. How often does data sync?

  • PCO and Rock RMS: Syncs occur in near real-time or shortly after the gift is confirmed.

  • Pushpay ChMS: Syncs after the transaction is confirmed.

  • Virtuous: Syncs once the integration is authenticated and keys are exchanged.

Delays may occur if the integration credentials are incorrect or the platform is temporarily unavailable.

4. What happens if a donor already exists in our system?

Overflow attempts to auto-match the donor based on:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

If a match is found, the gift will be assigned to that profile. If no match exists, a new profile may be created based on your integration’s matching rules.

5. What causes sync failures or missing data?

Common causes:

  • Changed fund names in Overflow after initial mapping

  • Outdated or invalid API credentials

  • Deleted or renamed donor profiles

  • Manual changes in your CRM that break mapping

Tip: Always contact Overflow before renaming or deleting funds/profiles linked to integrations.

6. Can I control which funds Overflow syncs to?

Yes! Most integrations allow you to:

  • Set a default fund

  • Map each Overflow campaign to a corresponding fund/subfund in your ChMS

  • Define campus-level mappings (for multi-campus organizations)

7. What happens with anonymous gifts?

For gifts marked anonymous in Overflow, a placeholder name like "Anonymous Donor" is used in your ChMS. Personally identifiable information is not shared unless explicitly provided.

8. Can recurring gifts sync to our ChMS?

Yes. Overflow syncs recurring gifts along with relevant metadata:

  • Start date

  • Frequency

  • Amount

  • Linked donor

Note: Edits to recurring gifts must be made in Overflow and may not reflect changes made directly in your ChMS.

9. Is there a cost for using integrations?

All Overflow integrations are free and included in your subscription unless otherwise specified.
