Overflow <> Pushpay ChMS integration

Capture your Overflow transaction and donor data in your PushPay ChMS (previously CCB) account to see all giving data in one place.

After connecting Overflow's Pushpay ChMS integration, all future contribution and giver information will automatically sync contribution and giver information from your Overflow Dashboard to your Pushpay ChMS account, taking out any manual work of exporting and uploading donation details and allowing you to more effectively engage with individuals giving to your church. This free integration is available to turn on directly within your Overflow Dashboard.

 

Here's how to get started using the Pushpay ChMS integration:

STEP #1: Find your Pushpay ChMS API URL

1. To create a new API user in Pushpay, click on the gear in the top right corner of Pushpay when logged in and go to the API button.
2. Once in the API area, click on the "add new API user" button and fill out all the appropriate information.
3. Click on the "Services" tab in the blue menu and check the "Select All" check box.
4. Record the username, password and Pushpay ChMS API URL found on the summary screen of the API section in Pushpay ChMS. You'll need these three pieces of information later.

STEP #2: Activate your Pushpay ChMS in Overflow

1. Navigate to Settings and then Integrations within your Overflow Dashboard.
2. Click "Connect" on the Pushpay ChMS tile.
3. Input the API User and URL values you found in Pushpay when prompted.

STEP #3: Choose the default Campus and Chart of Account

1. The default campus is used to map gift campaigns. Choose which campus your Overflow gifts should map to within Pushpay ChMS.
2. The chart of accounts specifies the default sub-campaign or "fund" in Pushpay ChMS. Choose which fund should be the default for all Overflow transactions in Pushpay ChMS.

Is there an extra cost associated with this integration?

Nope! The Pushpay ChMS integration is included with your Overflow subscription.

What data syncs to Pushpay ChMS?

All confirmed gifts sync to Pushpay ChMS. Credit/debit/ACH value, quantity and type of stock and quantity and type of coin will sync as well as donor information including email, phone, address, and name.

How are donors created or matched in Pushpay ChMS?

Once a gift syncs from Overflow to Pushpay ChMS/CCB, it will be auto-matched to an existing member. If a member does not match the information, a new member will be created.

How are anonymous givers handled in Pushpay ChMS?

If a donor submitted a gift anonymously to Overflow, the individual data will default to an "anonymous donor," where the identifiable information is withheld.
