Why ExpressGive Matters

Whether you’re a church or a nonprofit, the heart is the same: you want more people to take a step toward generosity. The reality is that many feel prompted to give during a service, event, or moment of impact, but don’t finish because the process feels complicated.

ExpressGive takes away that friction, so giving is as simple as a tap! 🤳🏽

  • The Challenge: Many people want to give, but don’t complete the process.
  • The Solution: ExpressGive lets them give in less than 5 seconds with Apple Pay or Google Pay.
  • The Impact: More people follow through, whether that’s during Sunday service or at a fundraising event.

Why Partners Choose ExpressGive

  • Fast and simple — Gifts complete in under 5 seconds.
  • No barriers — No apps, no logins, no friction.
  • Additive, not disruptive — Works seamlessly alongside your existing provider.
  • Exclusive Tap-to-Donation tracking available only through Overflow.
  • Connected across Overflow — Giving, Tap engagement, and analytics in one place.

Who Has Access to ExpressGive?

  1. ✅ Tap-Only Partners
    • 🛜 Using Tap 2.0 (dashboard.overflow.co): ExpressGive is automatically included.
    • 🛜 Using Tap 1.0 (tapdash.overflow.co): ExpressGive is available, but you’ll have 2 Dashboards — one for Tap, one for ExpressGive.
      • 🛒 Note: If you prefer a single Dashboard (via Tap 2.0), you can either re-order new Tap devices or upgrade to Full-Stack Giving.
  2. Tap + Giving Partners: ExpressGive is already included in your Dashboard.
  3. Full-Stack Partners: ExpressGive is already included in your Dashboard.
  4. 🎁 Non-Cash Partners: ExpressGive is included when you sign up for Tap!

ExpressGive-Only Dashboard

If you only signed up for ExpressGive (or Tap + ExpressGive), some Dashboard modules (e.g., recurring gifts, pledges, and integrations) will be locked. 🔓

Things to Keep in Mind

  • If you use another giving platform, you’ll have 2 Dashboards.
  • ExpressGive supports Apple Pay and Google Pay donations only.
  • Supports one-time donations only (no recurring gifts or RoundUps™).
  • Donations don’t sync directly with your CRM.

Creating an ExpressGive Link

  1. Go to Giving Links in your Dashboard.
  2. Click the Create Link button in the top-right corner.
  3. Enter a name for your link. This will help you identify it later, and it will also appear in the URL.
  4. From the Donor Flow Type dropdown menu, select Express Flow.
  5. Customize the rest of the giving experience for your donors.
    • 👉🏽 Note: If a campaign has a linked subcampaign, you'll want to disable the "Require Subcampaigns" setting in your Dashboard, unless a subcampaign is already pre-selected in your Giving Link configuration.
    • Alternatively, you can default the subcampaign in your Giving Link settings and hide it from the giving experience.
  6. When you’re finished, click Generate Link to create your ExpressGive link.

FAQs

Is ExpressGive Only Available with Tap?

Yes, ExpressGive is only available with Tap, unless you already have Overflow full-stack giving. You can learn more about Dashboard access here.

Is ExpressGive Available in the U.S. Only?

Since Overflow is the processor, ExpressGive is currently available only in the U.S. 🇺🇸

Can I Change the Designated Fund for ExpressGive?

Yes! You can adjust the fund for special initiatives or campaigns, such as a missionary highlight for churches or a “giving moment” at a nonprofit gala. (You can have 1 active fund at a time.)

How Do I Reconcile ExpressGive Donations With My Giving Statements?

Your Overflow giving statements automatically include all ExpressGive activity.

  • 📤 Note: All ExpressGive donations are recorded in Overflow. If you need it in another system (e.g., Pushpay), you can export the data from Overflow and import it manually.
  • 🧾 Donors will automatically receive an email confirmation for their gifts. (🔗 Acknowledgment Letters)

What Donor Information Does ExpressGive Collect?

When donors give through ExpressGive, we automatically collect their name and email address.

  • 👤 If the email doesn’t match an existing Donor Profile, a new account is created. (Donors can log in with their email and add a phone number if they’d like.)
  • 📧 If the donor already has a Donor Profile, we suggest reminding them to use the same email in their digital wallet as the one on file! This helps ensure their donation is linked correctly and prevents a duplicate account from being created.
