Exporting Larger Reports

When exporting larger data sets, especially reports with a lot of donations or deposit batches, it may take a bit longer than usual to generate. This is expected, since our system needs additional time to gather and process everything.

What Causes Export Delays?

  • 🔢 High Volume of Data: More donations and batches mean more information to compile, which naturally takes longer.
  • 📶 Browser or Network Interruptions: If your internet connection is unstable or your browser times out during the process, the export may not complete successfully.
  • 📧 Email Delivery Time: For very large reports, the export is sent via email with a download link. Sometimes the email may be delayed by your email provider or accidentally filtered into your spam folder.

Tips to Help Your Export Run Smoothly

  1. âś… Ensure you have a stable Internet connection with sufficient speed to support large data transfers. (If possible, use an Ethernet cable or a direct line to your modem for the best connection stability.)
  2. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies before beginning the export. This can help resolve performance issues or prevent old data from interfering with the process.
  3. Use an updated, supported browser (e.g., Google Chrome) for optimal performance.
    • ⚠️ Older browsers may not support the latest features required for exporting reports, which can lead to errors or delays.
  4. Minimize other bandwidth-heavy internet activities (e.g., streaming videos, large downloads, or multiple users on the same network) during the export to avoid interruptions or slowdowns.
  5. 🗑️ Check your spam or junk folder if the export email doesn't arrive. (These settings are often determined by your email provider.)
    • To help ensure future exports are delivered to your inbox, we recommend adding our sender address to your contacts or safe sender list.
