How to use Overflow's Text to Give Feature

Text-to-Give is a simple, secure, and convenient way to donate to your favorite nonprofit in seconds.

If your favorite nonprofit has text-to-give enabled, you can use this method to easily donate straight from your mobile device. Read on to learn how to donate cash, stock, and crypto via text.

TEXT TO GIVE CASH

If you'd like to donate via credit, debit or ACH to your favorite nonprofit, simply text the keyword they've provided plus an amount to their phone number. For example, text GIVE 100 to [phone] to donate $100. Note that the keyword and phone number will be unique for each organization.

• FIRST TIME GIVERS: You'll be sent a link to set up a profile and give through Overflow's cash-giving solution. This way, you can set up a credit/debit card or link your bank account so it's easy to give the next time. Learn more about giving cash through Overflow for the first time.
• RETURNING GIVERS: If you've given through Overflow before, your donation will immediately process as soon as you send the keyword and amount to your favorite nonprofit's number. We will charge the default payment method on your account which you can view and update in your Donor Profile.

TEXT TO GIVE STOCK

If you'd like to donate shares to your favorite nonprofit, simply text the keyword STOCK to the phone number they've provided. For example, text STOCK to [phone] to begin the process of donating stock. Note that the phone number will be unique for each organization.

• You'll be sent a link to complete your stock gift to your favorite nonprofit. Learn more about donating stock through Overflow.

TEXT TO GIVE CRYPTO

If you'd like to donate cryptocurrency to your favorite nonprofit, simply text the keyword CRYPTO to the phone number they've provided. For example, text CRYPTO to [phone] to begin the process of donating stock. Note that the phone number will be unique for each organization.

• You'll be sent a link to complete your crypto gift to your favorite nonprofit. Learn more about donating cryptocurrency through Overflow.

OTHER COMMANDS

By texting the following prompts to the number provided, you can take multiple actions right from your phone:

CANCEL/VOID/UNDO: Cancel your most recent gift.

HELP: Access Overflow's support team if you have any questions.

SUBSCRIBE/START: Opt-in to text messages from your favorite nonprofit.

UNSUBSCRIBE/STOP: Opt-out of text messages from your favorite nonprofit. This means you will not be able to use the text to give feature.
